The first graders went to Moorhead Planetarium, in Chapel Hill. We are studying about the solar system and about matter in science. We saw a Magic TreeHouse Movie and we did a bunch of very cool experiments with different kinds of matter. We also had a yummy lunch with our friends. We were so tired some of us fell asleep on the way back to school. Boy what a fun filled day of learning we all had!
Third Grade

Mr. Michael Farrish, who works for Duke Energy, did a presentation on electricity and safety for Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Osborne's third graders. Our students saw demonstrations of what happens when power lines are down, how power moves from power stations to your homes, and what causes power outages. It was a very interesting and informative presentation! |

Our fifth grade students visited the Stagville Plantation. They were able to explore what it was like living on this planation before and after the Civil War. Students learned about the crops grown, the types of families (slaves and farmers) who lived there, and their living conditions.
